Growing up in southern Illinois, I spent many days researching and writing as a pastime. A natural analyst and organizer, I still enjoy sharpening my writing skills. 

I went to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. After graduating with a degree in English, I moved to central Illinois, taught high school English and speech for over seven years and earned a master's degree in teaching and leadership. 

My passions include family, writing, reading and connecting the dots in life.
